Rules, Regulations, Rebellion & Resistance: The Saturn-Uranus square:
Saturn R/11: reframing social rules and reforming groups and organizations to better handle the needs of the community, recommitting to collective agreements, that foster freedom of choice and inspire independence yet inclusion.
Uranus R/2: inner liberation from seeking self-value and self-worth in externals, in temporary material states or goods. To ride the cycles of change, free of attachment and expectation, finding security in the non-material (yet far from immaterial) with experimentation and the encouragement of invention and innovation.
Saturn wants to safeguard a sense of order at all costs - by keeping society within set limits, maintaining established protocols & parameters, systems and structures but now in Aquarius we witness radical alterations and the breaking free from the old and outdated, often in ways we have never witnessed or experienced before:
Uranus shocks to the Saturn system.
As everything shifts, which agreed upon rules for humanity should we salvage and strengthen?
Online (Aquarius) censorship (Saturn) has been gaining momentum, as the flow of information is controlled; dictated by governing bodies (Saturn) who decide on the freedom (Aquarius) - or lack thereof - of information.
Disconnections due to power grid outages or cyber attacks, can leave us isolated and fragmented or push us to commit to staying connected in other ways - United we stand and Unified we are stronger - many colors, many languages, many genders under one banner: the human race.
Uranus wants us to evolve and update, as though the nervous system of our very bodies were software in need of continual advancements. Finding expression through Taurus, our financial systems are being altered - there is growing talk of connecting technology (Uranus) to our money, through chips and digital currency and moving away from physical cash. The ground beneath our feet (Taurus) is subject to surprise shocks and shifts (Uranus) as Taurus-ruled Mother Nature continues through her own shake up in evolution, with land and weather anomalies.
The push-pull of the Uranus-Square is experienced personally as a microcosm of the larger picture, where we find ourselves individually trying to navigate an increasingly changing social climate (where do we fit in, who is on our side or team, how can I retain my individuality, despite being just a number or statistic to the system?).
We are facing a stronger desire to be free of materialistic concerns yet still operate within a world that demands money in exchange for goods and services, and income in order to survive (to “earn a living”). Perhaps we will see a community renaissance of trading again, bartering, negotiating, finding what each other needs - what I want that you have, what you need that I have to offer. Individually, we experience lack but as a whole we have access to everything we could want, need and hope for.
Uranus in Taurus is a liberation from possessions, when that which we have ownership over, threatens to take over and own us.
Saturn-Uranus squares are forces of friction, an uncomfortable rub but necessary push-pull between preservation and progress.
There are periods when we must remain steadfast and stubborn to resist the erosion of what we have worked so hard to attain - threats to our security or stability. And sometimes, when we have outgrown a situation or are stagnating, we are forced to change by external events that leave us little choice but to alter course.
