What's it worth? Cycle 2 Lunar Eclipse (Nov 19)

Lunar Eclipses bring emotional change. Astrologically, the Moon reigns over our emotional states, home lives, our memories, family situations and our day to day feelings. During a Lunar Eclipse, these areas of our life are temporarily shaky/confused/uncertain - often by events in our physical lives that temporarily force our hands and force our attention in a certain direction.

Some experience an emotional 'high' as events reach a completion and success. At other times, we may experience a complete emotional overhaul, and feel insecure, nervous or just about any other disrupting and often worrying emotion as the dust is kicked up and things feel up in the air.

Feeling raw and open?

You may find yourself amongst the majority who will experience an ENDING, A Chapter Closure, a relationship end, a job ending - one phase of life seems to hold no more promise. Sometimes we have no choice but to gather ourself and our things and move in a new direction.

If so, welcome to the Chess Pieces of Your Life moving things around to get you ahead. Believe it or not, that's what's happening.

Trust the Process.

Remember that every manifested event you come into contact with or experience or witness, holds a message for you regarding where you're at with yourself. Everything mirrors. And during the Lunar Eclipse - when the Moon mirrors perfectly back the light from the Sun, we get to really SEE where we're at, usually because our FEELINGS tell us something important. It's hard to disguise frustration, reluctance, fear, joy. Emotions are the fuel on our life's journey.

However, during the Lunar Eclipse, the light we're normally ready to see all by is obscured, momentarily blocked by the shadow of the Earth - and the shadow of our earthly obligations (those things we spiritually decided we'd be focusing upon when we arrived here but subsequently forgot).

Change can be resisted (albeit unsuccessfully) but cannot be avoided during an Eclipse. We're not meant to stay the same or remain in the same place.

In Cycle 2, we are asked to review the Worth inherent in everything. Our resources (or lack thereof) come into focus - do we have too much of something, not enough of something else? Are we earning enough or selling ourselves short? What do we need to satisfy our craving for security, and is it worth investing in it's pursuit?

Do we value ourselves? Is our self-esteem rooted like a Great Oak able to weather the storms or at the mercy of life's shifting sands? Are we comfortable in our body? Do we feel it is worth it to take better care of ourselves?

Security-Insecurity, Feast-Famine, Comfort and Discomfort, Ease and Dis-ease will present themselves in the weeks and months ahead.

What resources do you need most of all now? What steps will you take to figure out how to secure them?

Sometimes we need a nudge or a push or a kick in the butt to get moving - and the Lunar Eclipse is astrology's equivalent.

When the light of the Moon is blotted out by the Earth, material earthbound reality seems to eclipse our feelings of solid, certainty. The shadow brings uncertainty, insecurity, changes we may not feel ready for but the path to certainty and security begins here. Finding inner resources and security in our own skin regardless of the outer state of our lives or bodies is not easy, but this Eclipse allows us to do that - to locate our peaceful space (our Happy Place) no matter what.

Opposing Mercury Cycle 8 suggests minds are focused on destruction and dire or darker consequences but Taurus Eclipses are still related to constructive growth. Square Jupiter Cycle 11, we may feel urged to take on too much, to live beyond our means - greed, gluttony, laziness are our challenges and traps. Discomfort and Dis-ease is found in overindulgence.

Trine Pluto Cycle 10, this Eclipse helps us shed the baggage and excess weight we are carrying. The fastest way, is to accept and allow the weeding process in our own personal gardens.

To get to where we want to be, we have to move away from where we do not desire to dwell. To get what we want we must first ascertain what that is, and be open to life re-arranging things on our behalf, to aid this process.

Take your socks and shoes off or lay on your back and connect with the Earth. Offer a silent request to release all that holds you back from true contentment and to attract all that is required to move ahead now - the thoughts, feelings, choices, behaviors, directions, destinations and people that will enhance our experience.

Allow the dust to settle for several days before making any major decisions if you can. Reactions are more emotional and knee-jerk around Eclipses. And in the weeks ahead: Resist Resistance. Don't get comfortable with discomfort. What we allow, is what will continue until change is forced upon us. Choose to change instead.
